Belle was my side kick.  She was my very first dog of my own and took me on such a wonderful journey.  Together we competed in multiple states in the US as well as in Canada in performance venues.  She was such a natural in agility and racked up many titles in a very short time.  I had dreams of her being my OTCH dog, but she made it very clear that competition obedience was not really her cup of tea.  She obtained her last title at 12 years of age in dock diving and loved every second.  Belle was an amazing puppy teacher and her presence is greatly missed in the house.  In October of 2019, she was diagnosed with Lumbosacral disease, a very painful inflammation and compression of the spinal cord near the pelvis/tail.  Her blood work was that of a much younger dog and her mind was sharp until the very end.  I could not make her go on with the pain that we could not control despite all of our best efforts.  My heart will forever have a hole, but I am happy that she is at peace and no longer in pain.  Belle was my once in a lifetime dog.
